Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is seen dominated by another controversy. They had disclosed on the last day that they had surrendered from 21 Khalistanans but the central government had given them death. He said that he was saddened by this and never went to meet the then Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar. Now the issue has reached the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Actually, Advocate Navkiran Singh, General Secretary, Laws for Human Rights International, gave a memorandum to the CBI Director and told about the above disclosures made by Capt. Amarinder Singh. In an episode, Navkiran Singh said that it is clear that Sikh youth has been killed in fake encounters. He described the matter as a violation of human rights and constitutional rights. He asked the CBI to get information about 21 Sikh youths who surrendered after Captain Amarinder was involved in the probe.
According to Navkiran Singh, before reaching the Punjab and Haryana high court, it was necessary to approach the CBI for the investigation of this case. He said that if the CBI did nothing, then they would knock the High Court rate.
