Lucknow: – Bus collided with a bus and a car in Rajau Paraspur area near Bareilly, and 22 passengers aboard a bus in a bus accident. With the incident of burning of 22 live riders in the incident this morning, the people of the area have fled. In fact, the truck with which the bus collided with the diesel tank was filled with oil, which did not take much time for the bus to fire the bus.
On the spot the fire brigade and the police arrived immediately, but the passengers could not be saved. According to Bareily SSP Jogendra Kumar, the remains of 18 people have been recovered in the accident while the remaining 4 have been admitted in nearby hospitals where their deaths continue to aggravate. On Wednesday morning, the UPRTC bus was carrying 37 passengers from Gonda in connection with the incident on 24 National Highway 24.
The people have been informed to identify the dead and the pamphlet has been registered. 14 injured pilgrims are undergoing treatment in Bareilly’s direct Vinayak hospital. Expressing grief over the incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and announced compensation of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased, Rs 50,000 for the injured and Rs 25,000 for the minorities.
